Hampshire Hospitals has announced it will soon be launching its clinical strategy 2022 – 2028! Throughout November and December 2021, the trust asked for feedback and comments on its draft clinical strategy to help shape how healthcare is provided to the people of North and Mid Hampshire, now and in the future. The final strategy will be published in due course as the trust works with teams across all sites and beyond to make this vision a reality. Find out more here.

HHFT Members are being encouraged to share their thoughts on what they feel matters most when receiving the right care, as part the trust's seven-year strategy. The overarching trust strategy will focus on several key themes, including outstanding care, sustainability, and innovation, with patients and staff at the forefront. As a crucial part of how the trust will provide services for the people of Hampshire, the strategy will align with and support the recently developed clinical strategy. Get involved and share your opinion on the trust strategy here.

As of Monday 21 February, Hampshire Hospitals has confirmed a change to its visiting guidance, allowing one visitor per patient, with all visitors to be booked in advance by contacting the nurse in charge of the ward. This guidance will not impact on the arrangements in place for maternity services or for patients in receipt of palliative or end of life care, for whom visitors have been allowed throughout the pandemic. For the latest visiting guidance, please click here.

A national Care Quality Commission survey has found that women giving birth at HHFT have confidence and trust in the staff caring for them. The 2021 Maternity Survey, part of the patient survey programme co-ordinated by the CQC, asked mums who gave birth in February 2021 to answer questions about their experience of the care and treatment they received. The trust is also taking part in this year’s survey, with women who give birth in February 2022 being contacted later in the year. You can view the full 2021 survey results via the CQC website.
