The ACDC is coming to Andover! Not the band, something much more exciting – an investment of nearly £5million into Andover War Memorial Hospital. Works are underway to create the Andover Community Diagnostic Centre, which will see improved community access to diagnostic imaging services at our hospital - providing expanded access to Xray, CT and ultrasound, and introducing new services including MRI. We are delighted to have opened our Hampshire Hospitals Heart Centre this month, a facility which will transform the quality of life for thousands of cardiac patients in Hampshire. The Centre, which features two new cardiac catheterisation labs, is based at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and is part of the trust’s ongoing commitment to providing outstanding care to communities across north and mid Hampshire. This December, Winchester Hospice will come together with its community to remember and celebrate the lives of those who are no longer here through its Light Up a Life service. Held at All Saints Church in Highcliffe, residents from Winchester and surrounding villages are invited to make a dedication in memory of a loved one, alongside a donation to the hospice’s charity.
