Our HHFT Annual General Meeting 2022 is fast approaching! Join us at the University of Winchester's West Downs Centre on the evening of Tuesday 19 July as we celebrate 10 years of Hampshire Hospitals, looking back at what we have achieved, sharing what's happening right now at HHFT, and exploring some of the innovative and exciting ways we are designing our future. Book your tickets and view full event information here.

Our hospitals are facing significant demand currently and our teams are working exceptionally hard to be there for everyone who needs care. In order to help ease the pressures on our services, we are asking for the support of the local community in using the right service to get the care and advice needed if it's not an urgent or life-threatening emergency. For more information on the services available, please click here.

On Monday 20 June we welcomed HRH Princess Alexandra to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice to celebrate the opening of the site's new hospice building. The visit saw Her Royal Highness tour the new building, meeting staff, volunteers and patients, as well as unveiling a plaque and planting a flowering cherry tree. Read the full story here.

Last month we welcomed Minister of State for Health & Social Care, Edward Argar MP, to HHFT, alongside local MPs Maria Miller (Basingstoke) and Steve Brine (Winchester). The visit allowed a discussion on our current infrastructure and involvement in the (Hampshire Together) New Hospital Programme, included a tour of the hospitals, as well as an opportunity to meet with a number of staff.

Emily Arbuthnot, Head of Cancer Services here at Hampshire Hospitals, has been awarded an MBE for services to the NHS in the Queen’s Jubilee Honours List! The honour recognises Emily’s work with the Peritoneal Malignancy Institute, a centre based at our Basingstoke site. Find out more about Emily's honour here.

HHFT junior doctors have been celebrated for their incredible contribution to patient care at an annual award ceremony held in recognition of the hard-working and inspiring junior doctors across the trust. This year’s annual Junior Doctor Awards returned with a record number of nominations, with nearly 300 received from patients and staff. View the full list of winners.

Join us for our HHFT Annual General Meeting 2022 on the evening of Tuesday 19 July at West Downs Centre at the University of Winchester.

The free event will feature an interactive exhibition, as well as the opportunity to hear from expert speakers and trust senior management, whilst being able to ask questions in real time. The trust will also present its annual report and accounts for 2021/22.

The evening will mark the trust’s first hybrid event, meaning those who can’t be there will benefit from an online experience; including a virtual exhibition and speaker live stream.

You can book your tickets and find out more event information online here.

Members of Hampshire Hospitals are invited to attend the trust's upcoming Board of Directors public meeting, taking place virtually on Thursday 30 June (10:00-13:00).
