On Monday 20 June we welcomed HRH Princess Alexandra to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice to celebrate the opening of the site's new hospice building. The visit saw Her Royal Highness tour the new building, meeting staff, volunteers and patients, as well as unveiling a plaque and planting a flowering cherry tree. Read the full story here.

Emily Arbuthnot, Head of Cancer Services here at Hampshire Hospitals, has been awarded an MBE for services to the NHS in the Queen’s Jubilee Honours List! The honour recognises Emily’s work with the Peritoneal Malignancy Institute, a centre based at our Basingstoke site. Find out more about Emily's honour here.

HHFT junior doctors have been celebrated for their incredible contribution to patient care at an annual award ceremony held in recognition of the hard-working and inspiring junior doctors across the trust. This year’s annual Junior Doctor Awards returned with a record number of nominations, with nearly 300 received from patients and staff. View the full list of winners.
