Have your say about NHS Patient Transport Services
Help us improve services for patients
About this survey
- NHS Patient Transport Services (PTS) is a free service.
- It helps people get to hospital when they cannot travel safely on their own.
- We are reviewing how the service works to make it fairer and more reliable, based on national NHS guidance.
- This means transport will be for people who cannot travel safely because of their health or mobility needs.
- This is not about stopping transport – it will still be there for people who need it.
Who this survey is for
- This survey is only for people who currently use NHS Patient Transport Services, or someone who cares for them.
- It is for people who use the service in the North East only, not North Cumbria.
Who will not see a change
- Many people will still get transport and will not be affected.
- This includes people with serious medical needs, mobility problems, or regular treatments such as dialysis.
Why your views matter
- Your feedback will help us understand how the changes may affect you and make sure the service works well for patients.
